This is a series of Japanese herons created with transparent and compact textile staples highlighted with rubber sticks and brass. Through combining these extraordinary materials the birds are characterized beautifully. A wonderful series of portayals of the heron is presented. The collages are poetic, subtle, and austere in colouring.
